Brooklyn Turns One

Celebrating my niece's first year.

I spent a morning in my sweet niece Brooklyn’s nursery snapping pictures to celebrate her first birthday. Wrapped in a fluffy white birthday tutu, I simply captured her playing, exploring, and toddling around her nursery as a brand-new walker — you know, that wobbly, determined little zombie baby walk.

It’s been so exciting to watch my big brother become a first-time dad, alongside my beautiful sister-in-love as she steps into motherhood, seeing them grow into parenthood together. A baby’s first birthday is also a celebration of a parent’s very first year of parenthood.

As Brooklyn turns one, I’ve loved capturing moments from her life so far — from baby bump to fresh-new newborn days, and throughout her first year. It’s been such a gift to document these milestones, and one I don’t take lightly. I’ll always be there to help celebrate each chapter, cheering her on and standing by her side as her aunt and one of her godparents.
