This year has challenged longstanding beliefs I had about myself, threatened the wellbeing of one of my family members I love dearly, and has been riddled with uncertainly. At times, this combination has been incredibly taxing and overwhelming — but my loving family and deep gratitude for my blessings has allowed me to remain grounded.
