We took these photos together just before my littlest valentine turns four, during a season that already feels like it’s moving waaaaay too fast.

Dressed in her favorite heart sweater, fluffiest tutu and new heart sunglasses, Elle swooned over the massive pink balloon arch, bouncing between being fully in the moment and quietly tucked into my side. It was simple and sweet — the kind of moment that stays with you.

These photos are less about Valentine’s Day and more about holding onto a season I know I’ll miss.
